The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.
Variable Player Powers
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Darador
A decent game. What prevented me from rating it higher: - I don't like the relatively prominent mechanism to target specific opponents in fights. - I don't really like the heart of the scoring mechanism, which only lets you score for the lower of two tracks. I think this punishes you unnecessarily severely for not planning ahead meticulously enough - without adding enough to the gaming experience. In other words: I would prefer to score by simply adding up the scores from all four tracks. (Some elements would need to be rebalanced for that.)

A game with indian meeples ! It was on my radar before Essen Spiel '17, and I had a go. I found the action selection system very well thought, so as the scoring tracks. But some aspects could have been better IMHO : the Take That mechanism, the Turn order phase, the dragging turns at the end of the game. Overall interesting !
Bundyman
Here is one game where the theme fits the game. One of the few Euro style games with soul. It will be nominated by me for the ranks of Deutscher Spielepreis 2018, because it has a tic tac toe mechanism that is innovative and easy to learn.
