A big change to the DEW line. FP MV can be attempted from there, starting with reclaiming of Erebor, if having early cards leading to war. SP can easily grab 3VP in the DEW line but the lack of 2 more VP to grab is substantial. The effects of modified cards are interesting, especially Brand's partisans and monsters north to WR. Worth noting is that FP has one route less viable, since the forest route is now more dangerous without the healing of Dale. This encourages seeking alternatives in Eriador (the Rohan Gap or the sea route if having a card), if FP fears Moria too much. The small addition of 2 new cities also has a substantial effect: FP can more easily achieve MV with the new Rhun city, which is often combined with capturing of Erebor and/or Angmar/Harad. On the other hand, SP has now more incentives to invade Eriador due to one more FP city there. The Grey Havens line is now 4VP. Even Corsairs can be tempted to bypass Gondor and go straight there.

Doesn't fit on the big map. Otherwise fine. Especially interesting if you plan to play Battle of Five Armies first. Or if you want to try out an alternative setup for the game. :meeple:

good to have battle of five armies, war of the ring and hunt for the ring all connected now. haven't played this enough to figure out how much it changes things apart from the obvious shifts in cities/strongholds as I almost always play with LOME
