Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Thought the cards are too powerful, but ok, I played only once and with the expansion, but it appears to me that you can't ignore the cards entirely to win the game. Edit: Played a second time and this time I could enjoy the game with this expansion a little bit more.
Berean
Nice expansion. It doesn't add much complexity (a bonus) but it does offer some new meaningful choices and helps bring home the theme of being part of a "village" as you get to meet some locals.
Arkeas
Adds a couple of new options to the game without making it any more complicated. The people for hire at the inn add interesting new choices and ways of scoring at the end of the game. Great expansion.
