    In the end, I don't think I did anything more than randomly deciding a card to put down at random locations. I ended up only a few points behind the winner, with all the scores being within 5. With some players trying to come up with a strategy and figuring out exactly how much blood to spend vs my method of just plopping down a card on a location without much thought, I don't think this is that good if we can come so close points-wise. All the clever play, backstabbing, subtle strategy goes out the window if my random play can give me enough points to come in second. It's filler-length, but my gut says that they were trying for something a bit more than just a filler. The theme is not my bag, but one of the other players really liked it.

    Variable player powers, good bidding mechanism, hand management with some elements of surprise. Plays fast, I love the art.

    Quick to learn, hard to master and some fantastic artwork. Playtime hovers around the 20 - 40 minute mark as well.

Vendetta is a game of area control, bluff and treachery in which you scheme and fight for influence and power as immortal vampires! Play cards and blood to earn the control of influential humans, feed on them, and make them your servants; your goal is to gain the most influence over three ages. You draft cards at the beginning of the game, then gradually draw an increasing number of cards from your deck at the beginning of each age (i.e., all the cards you had during the previous age, plus new ones).

While playing, you get to know the powers and abilities of your opponents during your centuries-long struggle, but they do the same with you — and you can never know which new tricks they may have added to their arsenal since your last encounter!
