Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

+ The components and storage of this game bring extra appeal to an already interesting premise; The puzzle aspect of trying to work through your available actions and how they play with the various environmental issues you face keep you on your toes throughout. - I don't think 3 and 4 players add anything to this game; since there is no hidden information, it feels best as a 2 person puzzle (or solo as 2 players). Why it's previously-owned: It's hard to describe... it's almost like picking this game felt like a chore. There's so much to get set up, there's the different rules for each planet, and I found that I was hoping that my friends wouldn't pick this game when we got together for game night.

This is great fun, the harder planets so far seem to be very challenging, but the creators have added some flexibility into the difficulty so you can ease up (or increase difficulty) very easily at the start of each planetary task. I hope they develop some more planets long term, but 6 planets x 3 tasks (scenarios) means a lot of replayability. I would love to see someone come up with a campaign story line to link them all.

Its just a fun, yet complex game with tongue in cheekiness in its writing. Lots of replayability and what can I say about the components?! THEY ARE TOP QUALITY, well thought out and slick. It oozes excellence. Enough said.
