Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.

Pretty great unmatched characters. All the Marvel Characters are cool. I don't think these are as fun as the Redemption Row characters, but still top tier.

I’ve played the competitive version on two occasions and the second time was miles more enjoyable than the first and yet somehow still less fun than a root canal from a bad dentist. The constant mitigation of the result of playing a fun powerful card that is rendered impotent is so completely unenjoyable that it sucks the entire lifeblood out of the game. There’s admittedly some clever mechanics given to different characters but they’re constantly rendered useless by luck and randomness. Here, I’m playing this powerful card that will render great damage to you. Oh, but you’ve played a card that makes my card useless so I wasted my turn. Next round, rinse and repeat. They’re something so absolutely not fun about that repeating arc. Unlike say Innovation where you play a delightfully despicable card that does wild damage to your opponent, and then a play or two later they return the favor with a unique destructive missile of their own, this takes cards that should be a hoot and then neuters them the majority of the time. It’s like a game of blue balls and no happy ending.

Not a fan of the Marvel characters in Unmatched. I understand the money grab because they've already paid somewhere else to use the IP but I prefer the historical fabled characters more.
