Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

ArcadiaQuestor
While an eternal classic entry to the Unmatched series, and probably its most popular, the balance between the characters is so bad, and can lead to very lopsided matches or boring ones.
bcnevan
Clearly the best entry in the Unmatched line so far. While it still suffers from the downsides of its card system, it commits more to its strength of well-flavored character design. The map provides a few wrinkles that bring a bit more interest.
Born-of-Ashes
Super thematic characters each with innovative mechanisms that make you feel like you really embody the fighter. New board mechanisms too.
