Would like to try. Adds coins to mitigate your bad cubes but sounds like this may be too powerful. BGGer Fragasnap gives it only 3/10 and says the following: "Expansion ranking: NEEDLESS (on a scale of necessary-nice-needless). -- The generic mechanism by which to acquire coins is to build multiple buildings at the same time. Because larger buildings occupy 25%+ of your Town at once, this incentivizes and powers the already powerful ur-strategy of Cottage-spam (and those coins make it even easier to shrug off unwanted Stone and Wood if Cottages are the only desirable building). -- The new buildings are nice enough. I am tempted to play with a few and simply omit generating coins otherwise."

The Fortune expansion introduces an interesting money mechanic that gives more flexibility during the game. It's pretty fun, although I don't know that it's required -- the base game is fine without it, although lower scores usually occur since you can't manipulate the resources as easily.
