Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.
Tile Placement
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Eenvoudige WP, voor spelers die niet zo bekend zijn met spelen. Zelf vond ik er te weinig diepgang in om koopwaardig te zijn.
Anonymous Apathy
I am a fan of Mr. Pauchon's Metropolys (I own it and it's excellent!) and Yspahan (which I enjoy and play on Yucata, and I plan on acquiring at some point). I was also excited to hear this favorably compared to Stone Age (lite), which I am a huge fan of (especially 2-player games with other top players on Yucata). Having said all of that, this one was a little bit of a disappointment, but, in fairness to it, I had some pretty high expectations for it going in. I think it's ultimately just too simple for my tastes at this point in my gaming "career". I do agree with those who suggest it's a good introduction to the worker placement genre, and I will still pull it out in certain circumstances. I also like the worker "death mechanic" whereby the further up the river you go the less workers you're going to have to use, which a lot of the reviewers on BGG didn't seem to like. In sum, it's a solid game that has a spot on my shelf, but it's not deep enough to warrant a lot of my personal attention.
