The Dragon Prince: Battlecharged
15m - 30m

Ages 10+
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

My first impression of this game is favorable. I've played a decent amount of Unmatched, and it's very easy to compare the two. Battlecharged has a traditional square grid with walls and obstacles, and allows you to fully refill your hand at the end of each of your turns. Each character also has a basic attack that doesn't require you to use a card. These differences give the experience a more tactics-driven feel, where movement, positioning, and energy management are key, while hand management is more forgiving.

Great arena battler at 2 players. We have never played it with more than two players. However its a blast there.

Good little skirmish game. I enjoy the show so that probably helps. Fast moving, pretty simple, plenty of maps and characters to choose from.
