Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

I like these "Rising" dice games although I've only played two, this one and Thanos Rising. They both play very similarly with slight differences. This one has a enemy card track that fills up with cubes and the enemy cards will come out to the main octagonal display, making stuff harder for you. Between these two version I think I enjoy Thanos Rising a bit more as the infinity stone mechanic just fits better with the gameplay...BUT....This Batman version is for sure tougher to beat....which makes it a bit more satisfying when you do win. Thanos Rising is a breeze for me at this point but I still really enjoy the gameplay. Either way, they are both great games if you enjoy the yahtzee style dice rolling.

I really tried to like this. I am a huge DC fan. But there really isn't a game here. It is an activity of rolling dice and being disappointed. Good luck getting any of the character combinations necessary keep your head above water, much less win. And even more luck keeping said characters once you have them. Don't bother unpacking the bonus tokens, you'll get one or two, they won't be useful, and then the second Dark Nights spot will obliterate your chance to get more. "Hard" is not the same thing as: "challenging," "competitive," and definitely not "cathartic" upon winning. Your chance to do anything strategic of meaning in the game is hidden behind the randomness of: the dice roll of the things that kill you, deck draws for characters to help you (but things that can also hurt you), chip draws which seldomly happen and almost never give you something you actually need, the player's dice rolls which are woefully underpowered to perform the simplest of tasks, and your choice of even where to go - which seems like "strategy," but your choices are generally: terrible, even worse, and 40% chance of actually accomplishing something. Upshot: if you have a reaction, as I do, to high-luck/low-strategy games, steer clear of this one.

Fun and hard dice rolling game with really great art. I like more the Harry Potter version's location mechanic than this version's dark knight tracker with die rolling so I give this one point less than the HP version. Both are great games in overall mechanics tho so the preferred theme plays a huge role while deciding which version to play.
