In Action Point (AP) Allowance System games, each player is allotted a certain amount of points per round. These points can be spent on available actions, until the player does not have enough remaining to "purchase" any more actions.

Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver

BobOLink
An incredibly boring pick up and deliver game based on the Tremors movies. It's very rote and repetitive with no turn that feels like you're doing anything different (every turn feels exactly like the previous). It's far too random and its "take that" mechanism is among the worst. It sounded like an exciting game and failed to deliver on its promise. We played it once, no one liked it, so I got rid of it. So far, it's the only game I've ever gotten rid of.

Tremors the board game. Fun with a younger audience but highly random and luck-based. Some cards can mitigate luck but it's a pretty mean game with multiple "take-that" cards.

I would give this more stars if it had a better rule book. There are lots of details that are left out of the rules and we find ourselves very frustrated.
