In Action Point (AP) Allowance System games, each player is allotted a certain amount of points per round. These points can be spent on available actions, until the player does not have enough remaining to "purchase" any more actions.
Action Point Allowance System
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

Terror Below!!! @renegade_game_studios This game felt like a unique spin on a combination of a few (3-4) of our favorite games. This made the game super fun to play! ? 1-5 players ⏰ 45-60 min ? Ages 10+ The idea of this game is to collect worm eggs, drop them off at safety facilities while avoiding attacks. Pros: The game moves pretty fast. You have options to move more than 2 spaces a turn. You could collect an egg and get it to the destination in one turn if you use the right cards. You also can remove “rubble” and gain items or weapons to help you along your way. The art is really cool and vintage looking and the quality is nice. Plastic eggs/ rubble and wooden cars. Cons: You don’t actually play with the cardboard worm figures that are on the stands. More for decoration? There are a lot of variables and can be quite a bit going on at once. It can get confusing. The online tutorials to play the games, don’t offer as many details as we would like. (Ex: vehicle cards vs points was not clear at first) and instruction booklet didn’t always give the answers to all of our questions. Overall, we are excited to have this game as part of our collection and see how it progresses the more we play it.

Solo play - greatly enjoyed! I thought it would be harder than it was (so will level up to medium difficulty next). Play time was quick, and a lot happened in that small window of time (20-30 min.) If you haven't tried the solo version, I highly recommend it! (Also, great fun in a group - even newbies can win :)

Review after one play. It will be my last play. Turns take way too long. Game is too random and chaotic. You can easily play another game during downtime. There is no reason to pay attention to the board or people's actions and planning ahead is useless. The most fun this game has to offer is having the worms killing whoever is is winning. I trust no one who likes this game.
