1 - 4 Players
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.
Decent game, but not really my style: too much planning and strategy, especially with 2 players. The theme is unique, the mechanics are pretty solid. The majorities can get fiddly with the scoring.
Everything works decently well in this game, except the Scoring. Interesting action selection (despite being very open to AP problems), interesting theme, etc... But it seems designer did not know what to do with such engine and created the most overcomplicated scoring mechanism possible... It is all based on grid patterns (so far so good) but with about 7 different angles... It is just not enjoyable so score did take a hit for that.
Solid (if dry) euro with solid mechanics and great production, but wonky scoring (imo) holds it back.
