In Teotihuacan: City of Gods, each player commands a force of worker dice, which grow in strength with every move. On your turn, you move a worker around a modular board, always choosing one of two areas of the location tile you land on: one offering you an action (and a worker upgrade), the other providing you with a powerful bonus (but without an upgrade).

Great game. Fun thinky mechanics + variable set up. Sadly a lot of tedious upkeep, which you could tend to forget on your turns.

Played once with 4(on Boardgamearena), and twice with the solo. The solo was designed by David Turczi who designed Anachrony and it is the most unique and interesting solo mechanic I've ever seen. The solo mechanic uses action tiles that are arranged in the shape of a pyramid to fit the game theme, and the AI's logic is represented by 2 tiles which tell you how to update the pyramid after selecting an action tile from the pyramid(via 2 D6 die roll). The artwork of the board is beautiful to look at in person especially at the end of the game with the pyramid almost built. This game is special.
