Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Initial Impression: The designer has done it again. A small box, a few high quality components, and simple game mechanisms make for a compelling solo experience. The addition of basic and advanced games, and variants in the box promise long term viabilty. Having only played the basic game so far, I can say that I'm finding the game challenging and am looking forward to what else the game has in store for me. This is one of the few solitaire games in my collection that I'm tempted to try with a partner, as it looks as if the decisions would be that much more grueling. Now on to the Advanced game ...

The deck drafting is pretty cool, but can also be kind of annoying if you play multiple games. I don't find the game very challenging. I do lose games, but that's because I couldn't get the cards I needed early enough to "get on top of things"; or the first few rounds went very badly. If you like tower defense games, you will probably like this game.

Can easily win this on the hardest difficulty 100 times out of a hundred. Very very easy. Needs to be house-ruled to crank up the challenge.
