Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Only ever played it with 2, but I love the Winston draft format, so having a card game based around drafting that way is fantastic.

Love this game. Great artwork. Play it slowly the first couple of times to get the mechanics down and then each player is off to their own strategy (and there are lots of different ones). Have only played 3 player games where every spymaster is on their own- someday a fourth will come along and we'll try the team concept.

Didn't actually buy this - I received it as a thank you for returning an extra copy of Scythe delivered to me in error. I'm glad I did - as this became a fast-favourite two-player game for us. Pretty easy to learn, with a nice level of depth to strategy in playing Agents and Missions to have the most points at the end. Played with four, it has the addition of team-play (in the same vein as something like Bridge) that looks like it could add even more to it.
