Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Loved the "legacy" feel to adding new cards and concepts slowly. Once we were done, I haven't yet played with the new dice, but am looking forward to it. All in all, I was happy with the game without the expansion, so I didn't feel this was a "need to have" but I will come back to this rating once I've done some more plays. 40 points seems like a lot at the beginning, but I'm not sure that I can turn these dice into much of a strategy before someone has already won the game.

Using a Legacy model to teach the new mechanisms for an expansion is pretty genius. Of all the additions, my favorite are the little red dice, which adds even more engagement off-turn in an already engaging game. I wonder though, does the Legacy aspect turn away players from a fully-loaded game if they want to avoid spoilers?

The Campaign itself was not fantastic in itself. But the expansion adds great elements to the base game that give it variety and a bit of extra depth which I quite enjoy.
