Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Uno de mis primeros juegos, de los que mucha gente tiene buenos recuerdos. Quizás tiene muchas reglas específicas que hacen que tengas que leerte muy bien el manual o tenerlo siempre a mano.

I like the variation of the map/relics/new races, etc. However it is Small World again, but that's not a bad thing. The question is do you need both versions? If you only need one, which one is better? I'll give the slight nod to the original because there's more expansions, but I honestly think the relics give the Underground base game an edge. Either one is a great choice.

Stands alone, great on its own. "Darker" sounding races is a simple twist. Conquering regions occupied by "monsters"--equivalent to the "lost tribe"--to gain a Righteous Relic or Popular Place gives a reason or an incentive.
