Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

I could write a lengthy review, but the summary is this: Skytear is the game I’ve wanted for years now. - A board game version of the MOBA format. - Addictive match based game play that will have you saying “just one more” - Single player controlled teams. (No more losing because a troll inted down mid) - Base components are competitive, and acquiring more cards/characters is not up to RNG or free market prices, but reasonably priced expansions with predetermined contents. Not to mention that the QUALITY of components is through the roof. Even the BOX feels premium. Shout out to PVP Geeks for their execution. Can’t wait to get my hands on more expansions and to build a casual competitive community here in Colorado Springs!

Been enjoying this immensely, nothing bad to say about it. I'm not even a MOBA fan, but was immediately drawn to the mix of card driven combat and area control. First rate production quality. Fast set up and pack down. Huge depth and potential to grow. A friendly bubbling community is growing up around the obsessively engaged devs. Full marks!

Interesting game and ideas, with cool mechanisms. The rules are a bit too fiddly for what they are trying to do, and the worldbuilding is so uninteresting that makes me want to put the game away. In addition, the game takes a bit too much time to set up. Play gets a bit better with 2v2 instead of 1v1, but I still prefer many other duels to this. I really wanted to like this, but it was a bit meh.
