Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

The KS campaign went very smoothly and they were quick to respond if I had any questions about the game! The production value is fantastic as well! Happy to have this game.

I wanted to like this but after one play I have to pass. I felt that it had a distinct run away winner. My opponent had a good round 1, which set me back round 2, further back round three. He terribly out-minioned me and there was no way to catch up. By round three he had 6 minions on 1 conflict space and 5 on the other and even if all 4 of my heroes had killed one minion each, I had zero way to counter. Neat idea but for me to even consider trying it again, the minion phase would need to look very very very different. That’s not to say someone else may not like it. My review is only based on a single play that ended up being very lopsided. A positive for it is that it is particularly fast, it only took us an hour to an hour and 10 minutes including teach. My review posted here is not to influence others but remind myself.

Great game and a must-buy for fans of League of Legends, DotA, or other MOBA-style games. Played it with a few friends and overall the experience was positive. One small issue was we used the starter set/decks and ended up with Red/Yellow vs Blue/Green. The RY side felt like it had far more offensive capability than the BG side. Obviously this can be rectified with the additional heroes and card that were added, but just something to note if you only have the basic starter.
