The Campaign/Battle Card Driven mechanic is a relatively recent development in war games that focuses the players' actions on cards they have in their hand. The very basic idea is that performing a single action uses a single card. Games where cards are used to determine the outcome of battles do not use this mechanic.

Sadly disappointed with this one. You draw very few cards, which means that you have very few game options, and these seem obvious. Poor gameplay compared to much better games like Keyforge and MTG. Haven't tried deck building, yet. Also, quite expensive.

For me, this game is a solo experience of a simple MtG game with preconstructed decks. I got the hang of the game in about 10 plays and enjoyed it, but later I had no incentive to play it any more. + the card quality is very good + the games are fast + some mechanics are interesting, particularly yellow cards - yellow cards are AN EXPANSION! - quite expensive for what you get - lacks originality in design and mechanics... quite generic. - rules are not very clear. I found myself guessing often. - deck construction (with expansion!) is very limited and often obvious. - the wins feel underwhelming and the losses feel undeserving, but I think it is because of the solo nature of the game.

Excellent solo card battle. The game brings back good memories of MTG / Hearthstone days without requiring the presence of a second player. The game is made primarily with solo play in mind, and that makes all the difference, because the gameplay and card dynamics are functional with solo play in mind. There is the possibility of co-op and even pvp, but I haven't tested it yet. PROS: - Quick Game (30 minutes) - Fast Setup - Modular Parts - You can create matches choosing different parts: Alliance deck, Horde deck, Outsiders, Portals. - Draft or Pre-constructed deck - You have pre-constructed decks but you can choose create your own custom deck. - Deep Strategy and Different difficulty levels. CONS: - Lack of Lore: The game does not provides you more content about the universe.
