I would love to give this game a "10" but translation issues and some of the more obtuse mysteries get in the way sometimes. It's an excellent gateway game for people who don't generally like board games. Highly recommended despite some niggling issues.

Fantastic fun with the family, though there a few anti climaxes in some of the cases ,But it is the journey getting there that the games shines.

I would recommend ignoring the race against Holmes' score, and just methodically investigating the chapters at your own pace. The writing is excellent and does a good job of transporting you to 19th century London, so it would be a shame to rush though it and miss content. There were a few cases in the middle that we found frustrating as the solutions relied too much on conjecture or sifting through old newspapers. But the majority of cases are enjoyable and provide enough hard evidence to be able to come to a satisfying conclusion.
