OK, so it's hard to rank each SHCD box in comparison to each other, so for now I'm just ranking them all a ten. Really, I'm ranking the game system here, so know that in any box you're going to get an awesome experience. I won't speak much to the individual polishedness of different cases, that's just a little hit-or-miss, even with these newest editions. This is the classic that started it all. My wife and I tried a different tactic with our latest case: we went to very few locations, didn't get caught up in little details, and went to solve the case with a lot of gut feelings. We were right!! Score 75 which is by far our best showing in SH so far. I still love this game: it's my favorite co-op, my favorite two-player game, and my favorite deduction game. Top ten material here!

Perfect game to sit down with a friend, a bottle of wine and a long evening. Can be frustrating when you get it wrong but that doesn't compare to the satisfaction of getting it right! Holmes is still a nob.

A very nice choose your own adventure co-op. It is fun trying to figure out the small but important clues from the text. The storylines are interesting and twist in the plot not so obvious. However, I am afraid that after a few games you might start seeing patterns repeat themselves, i.e., it is not what you are being told but what is left unsaid that is important. This is also a game that I could truly imagine playing myself when you have all the time in the world to read over the text and you do not have vote for every decision, although haste and negotiation is part of the fun as well.
