This game has got something few games have in my opinion: Stories that actually make sense! It’s very rare to find a puzzle game where you can use common sense to solve problems, instead of abstract logic. I never had this much fun reading the phone book before. Recommended for anyone who likes to read aloud, or know someone who does.

Great themed game. Certain scenarios are definitely better than others. Sometimes, you can pour over the materials but the clues are pretty obscure. I wish the game was a little more consistent over the entire game.

I rented it and played two scenarios. We got stuck during the first one and it dragged on for a while. During the second one we realized that there were certain locations that were always at least a little helpful (221 B Baker's Street, Scotland Yard, The Times Newspaper) and we found a much clearer path toward the solution. Really enjoyable, as long as you don't get too hung-up about solving the case in fewer steps than Holmes did. Just read the clues and have fun.
