Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Kinda lucky need to roll the dice and draw the right cards. definitely a 2 player game, can't imagine it at 3 or 4, seems like it would be off balance. Like that you can play different variations. However in the end it is a dice rolling battle game. We always compare these to Star Relams and Star Relams always wins.

I like this game, unfortunately for it (and for me) my wife does not. so this game rarely hits the table. she says the choices are two simply (typically a clearly better option). I feel it is more nuanced, but maybe I'm just bad at games.

This is pretty good as a 2 player game. I wouldn't try it at higher counts, and the solo mode is kind of dull. I like all the customization that players can do and the different victory conditions. On the negative side, creating sets of advanced cards is a huge pain, especially as there is no real way to store the cards with any kind of organizational system and the box is way too small.
