Seasons: Enchanted Kingdom
Seasons: Enchanted Kingdom, the first expansion for Seasons, includes two copies each of 20 new power cards, 10 enchantment cards, 12 special ability tokens that fit into the hole on a player board
2 - 4 Players
Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.
I recently played this with a friend. I like the additional content and cards. I think it makes the game better. I used all the cards. No point in leaving any out.
some great new cards and Dragon Skull (AKA trash) slowly getting indirectly buffed is good, and the alternate drafting options are neat to at least know about... doubt I will ever use the other enchantments and I'm unlikely to use the abilities too
Good add-on, but not essential by a long shot. The powers are nice but not necessary. The rule changing cards, same thing. The only "great" module to the expansion is the extra cards. Just throw them in and play.
