There was clearly a lot of love put into this, but the game is bland and uninspiring. A player aid would have been nice, and I wish the different characters felt different - the abilities are just variations on each other, and the game never felt very exciting. Also, putting all those cardboard terrain pieces together was awful, especially as no instructions were provided. Good luck getting them to stay together!

A solid and very thematic game. The dice sharing produces combat that feels a lot like the movie/comic -- some team combos and some turn taking in the fight. The minis nail the art style. I like how throwing furniture is a free action, and gives XP, so that trashing the venue is encouraged. The heroes on 'normal' seem to have a very strong advantage against Patel. Fortunately, there is a 'hard' mode. hard = balanced. Everything else is heavily biased towards the good guys. There is some good tactical maneuvering because of how objects can be thrown and how you can do extra damage knocking people into things. The basic game scenario doesn't have a ton of replay, but the expansion adds a lot.

Rulebook is a mess. God have mercy on you after you attempt to "assemble" the cardboard props. Just tell yourself, " eh, it was only $100 "
