Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.

The SO was really excited for it, but while it wasn't bad, we did not really enjoy playing it. It felt just too random, and for that it took too long. We tried it multiple times with different groups, but it just didn't stick.

We played a first time with our regular gaming group: While the concept sounds interesting, the game design is too unbalanced. The game is not centered on the "rulebending" but rather the draw of the cards. Winning or losing is completely card dependant as certain cards are simply overpowered. In the end I had a landslide victory (>2x the points of the first runner-up) due to a good draw in the 3rd round - which allowed me to chain cardplay for a prolonged period of time. After 3 players in my group already passed, I was still able to continue with actions in the round for 10 mins - alone (!). The 4th round was a drag. Even with my 3 co-players playing together the gap was too big to even come close. In the end, we all felt disappointed: * They didn't have any fun because of the downtime and final score. * I didn't have fun as the victory was achieved through luck of the draw rather than skillfull "rulebending". Game Brewer missed the mark with this one.

I want to have it. I have heard the comments of some friends who tried it (try-out version) and it looks like an very good game. Something that i don't want to miss in my collection
