One of my absolute favorites and one of the few games built heavily on dice based mechanics I can actually stand. Just so much damn flexibility and dice results mediation that its super hard for the dice to fuck you.

Decent game with some nice elements, but it just doesn't grab me. I was never a fan of Race for the Galaxy, and--while I'd rather play this one--it still has a lot of complexity that doesn't do it for me. Seems like you just need to have a good understanding of the tiles.

Played at game day and thoroughly enjoyed the play. Had just previously played New Frontiers (my introduction to the 'series'. I know I'm a late comer). It's nice change up to the phase order function. Not sure Roll would end up as my favourite of the series but i'm enjoying exploring them all (eventually).
