Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

12/20/2020 - I am three games in (2 solo mode, 1 three players)and I am enjoying it so far. More so than I did wingspan the first couple of games. Although Wingspan is more entry-level compared to Rococo, the flow is similar, but there is more AP due to the indirect player interaction. Overall, I look more to more plays.

This game is gorgeous. It's also an engaging puzzle with a very unique theme compared to most Euro games. I brought this game as one of ten for a recent vacation. I hadn't expected that after playing it, I would decide to sell it. The deciding factor was that after playing Rococo, I felt like I didn't want to play it again for a month or more. The iconography is consistent, but it feels like I need to click into the right headspace compared to other games. The teach is okay, but at the end of the day I want the whole experience to match the price and production quality of the game. It doesn't so off it went.

A solid, if unspectacular, game. Production value is excellent, but the game feels like a game you’ve played before. Simple to learn, and won’t overstay its welcome.
