Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.
Variable Player Powers
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Another Final Frontier game since Cavern Tavern earlier, also is a dice placement game. We played a 5 player game and took us about 2.5 hour to complete a short variant game (including counter checking rules book and some AP) This game is a resources management game and able to get score using few methods. Charming design however TBH nothing is new. Basically I felt played Marco Polo and Puerto Rico with some other mechanism. However. Its a charming game that worth another go and it comes with some plastic tray that helps in setting up and tearing down the game. Good one! https://www.instagram.com/p/BlYUXcEhFfO/?taken-by=boardgamer.my

Beautiful art. Difficult to teach relative to the weight of complexity. Plays great at two players. At 3 there's no way to check a runaway leader. I think it'll be way too long for what it is with more than 3 players. Not a bad game, but there's better out there in the same vein.
