This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

So boring. I know Uwe makes lots of games, but this just wasn't very fun and it doesn't seem like it has much replayability.
Alan Stern
One of my least favorite of the Uwe Rosenberg designs. Has overtones of At the Gates of Loyang. The worker placement element is very tight, but it really serves as the primary artificial tightening of the game. Yes, it's a game about farming, but... you don't have to farm all the time? In fact, not everyone can! (There just aren't enough worker placement spots nor strong enough incentives.) Strange. The action card thingies are not balanced at all. I like that they can be shared, but they can be a little swingy for my taste. (Hello Agricola!) Overall, an okay game. Probably worth the sale price of $20, but I'm not keen to play this one again. There are so many better games and lots of better ones from Uwe Rosenberg.

Doesn't do a whole lot that other Uwe games haven't already done. It does however offer a strong solo mode with a campaign.
