Could be a great game, but player turns are slow. When you are going to play a plant you have many possibilities, many combinations considering where to put a plant and what powers you want to activate, this is good. The problem is that it is impossible to remember the effects of each plant, this is because the powers are not intuitive, so players will have to check the powers again and again... I think it is not a fun game for kids under 12 years, too much thinking.

I am glad I backed this one. The different plants add good variety and unique effects to the game. I have also enjoyed the decision between the sprout and grow abilities on each of them. This is also a colorful, shorter, light weight area control that is good for the family. Production value is high.

While I really liked this it really does play best at 4 or 5 IMHO. Although I haven't tried the solo so that might change my mind. The pieces were nice quality and it is very thinky - more than I expected. Small table space is a plus and the plants themselves are very interesting. Area control and some take that (usually don't like that but here it works). End game scoring was enlightening - and when I play again I have a better idea of how best to position myself on the field.
