Pergamon (Second Edition)
45m - 45m
2 - 4 Players
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.
Good family game. Mechanics and theme fit well. Easy to teach. Nice components. Compact and very cheap game.
I find it a VERY interesting light game. Very nice combination of small parts of game. Played twice live in 2-players version, which works really fine. Components are great, game is very tense and interesting.
A quick set collection type of game. Nice on how you have to balance money, asking for money along with what you will be able to actually excavate. Towards the end of the game some very tough choices had to be made. Speculate on how much money would be available. If you can get the cash. Stuff like that. Game looks very nice and the set collection is different as you combine pieces, puzzle like. Another game i want to play again and I feel the rating will go up. Did I say it was quick? That was the icing on the cake. It definately doesn't overstay it's welcome.
