Pandemic Legacy: Season 0
45m - 60m
2 - 4 Players
Ages 14+
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Good game. I liked every game I played, but the upkeep between games is too much for me. It took way too much time to set up the next game. Also late in the campaign, the game gets too complex for what it does in my eyes.

(Just finished April) At the moment a very neat follow-up to PL:S1 with refreshing mechanics and strong narrative. I think compounded failure could still ruin the experience, but thankfully my group is quite good at this whole Pandemic thing. We did lose one month so far purely because of an unlucky chain of incidents, but that did not discourage us yet.

Terrific final installment of Pandemic Legacy. These three boxes have brought immense joy to me and my wife. Incredibly bittersweet when we finished. Season 0 leans a little harder into the story-telling aspect, with a full on separate booklet with little story blurbs. It still takes a minimalist approach to much of the story, which I think is a great design choice, and like the other two seasons, it does a fantastic job of tying in narrative elements with actual mechanistic changes to gameplay.
