This is an all-new expansion for the popular game Pandemic. You need to own Pandemic and Pandemic: On The Brink to play this expansion. Behind sealed biohazard doors, scientists race against time to sequence diseases and test cures.

Didn't really add anything to the core game and introduces a competitive element which, to be honest, is not in the sprit of the original.

We've always been able to immerse ourselves in the theme of Pandemic but with In the Lab you feel like you're really working "in the lab" to find the cure to the next great plague. You must have this expansion if you are any kind of fan of the base game.

Initial impressions: I'm really liking the changes this brings to the way the game plays. On the Brink has lots more content, but other than the Bioterrorist that we never use it doesn't really change the way the game is played. In the Lab makes it feel like a completely new game, which is excellent. I could even see there being times when my group wants to play without In the Lab in order to switch things up. My only concern is that the changes seem like they will really limit the usefulness of roles that are primarily useful for trading cards/acquiring sets of cards, or for reducing the number of cards needed for a cure. In our plays so far, getting players with the cards they need has been pretty easy without any trading at all.
