An odd combination of a mythological fantasy theme, abstract mechanisms and area control with heavy targeted direct interaction. Nine Worlds completely fails in mitigating the problem of unrestricted leaderbashing. The game quickly degenerates into an unappealing chaotic take-that fest. The theme is barely there in gameplay and the implications of getting chosen as a target can be severe. Success is a function of players balancing their attacks and being successful in convincing other players not to attack you. I don’t understand who is supposed to be the target group of such games and why they still get produced.

Amazing looking game with a visual wow factor. Clever resource management game. Works best with 4. Fairly simple mechanic that always keeps you thinking.
Poor Yorick
Provisional rating based on partial demo at UK Games Expo 2016. Looks beautiful and seems to be a deep game, but I'm not sure if it will suit my group very well (worried that AP issues and a tendency to gang up on the game owner might get frustrating!). I was tempted to pre-order but decided to put it on hold for now - hope to get in a full game and decide at next year's Expo.
