Definitely getting the "rating as a kid's game" bump here but it's not entirely a kids game. It's simple enough that my 7 year old can absorb the rules and strategy pretty easily but there's just enough going on here that a mixed group of adults and kids would all enjoy themselves. Would I bring this out for a group of just adults? No...except maybe to show off the stellar components. Otherwise I'd just teach them Scythe.

What a beautiful game! I love anything that makes learning games more accessible, and My Little Scythe certainly does that. Its downfall is that, after a few plays, you pretty much know how to win and it's just a (short) race that you don't really have control over? Whoever got to go first just wins, like tic-tac-toe.

My rating is based on the assumption that you are playing with kids. It is very basic and would not be enjoyable with a group of adults. But, with kids, it is perfect, and incorporated a lot of elements of scythe in a game that is easily playable for kids (my 3 year old plays with us with little or no coaching...she just never wins).
