This mechanic requires you to place a bid, usually monetary, on items in an auction of goods in order to enhance your position in the game. These goods allow players future actions or improve a position. The auction consists of taking turns placing bids on a given item until one winner is established, allowing the winner to take control of the item being bid on. Usually there is a game rule that helps drop the price of the items being bid on if no players are interested in the item at its current price.
Auction/Bidding
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

I simply cannot see the negatives that people write. This is an excellent game which has simplistic rules but many ways of winning. Admittedly the rule book leaves a little to be desired in places but it's hardly complicated. Strategy wise there is plenty under the hood here. Either go for the money route, the customer route or take a gamble on the swamp tiles. Either way the strategies of moving and thinking about how to get your cousins to the middle make this a solid 7 in my book anyway.
HappyDeath
Mediocre game, has some fun mechanics with turn order and how it interacts with vehicles but very predictable movement. Auction phase is a mess, punishing all players for the player(s) that didn't bid. pvp style incorporated with indirect conflict via stealing when people aren't around but in general it is extremely inefficient to engage in PVP. Game plays fast, first game that didn't exceed runtime with our normally slow group but still some how overstayed its welcome. Components are great but game play is almost nonexistent. Over produced underwhelming kickstarter game.

Got to play this for a second time, and really loved it. So many ways to get points, and not knowing who was winning made it super stressful and exciting for our group!
