Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

In 3P, this game has a wealth of odd tension - in a good way! - with you winning if one of your neighbors dies, but not your other one. You find yourself deciding whether to help another person, that very person whose mission it is to kill you! Cool dynamics for sure. Just don't play this 2P.

Good game overall. The game’s conclusion seems to be spelled once the first error is made, making the player who is prior to the one who made the error usually the winner. In a 4 player game, if one player is new, it results in a formulaic end result that is repeatable over many sessions. Sometimes an interesting play can be made, such as restoring the health of a separate character than yourself, who is losing, to prolong the game and extend your chance at winning. That being said, it’s great for 8-12 games total before mastery due to variety of player starting locations and card variety.

KS Edition with metal components. Very cool and "stressful" for a small game, as you must actively track and adapt to what the players on your right and left bring to the board. The strongest your units on the field are, the more vulnerable you are to other types of attacks. Very clever. Has one of the coolest mechanisms I've seen in board games, the only down side is that in a 2 player game it doesn't show all it's potential.
