Will adjust and play again after Co-op design is actually complete & better rules posted (8/30 rewrite is not enough).

Knight Fall by @redravengames is a team game between knights and demons, pursuing their own goals till the sun rises! In the game, you’ll form two teams, where the demons are attempting to break the seal to escape, killing off the elders and the knights, while the knights are trying to defeat enough demons to hold them off! You do this by playing cards that will activate certain actions or special abilities in order for you to maneuver and damage your opponents till they are no longer. What is great about this game is that each demon/knight has unique abilities that change the tide of the battle and as demons are more easily dispatched, the knights will have to deal with new abilities all the time. The demons on the other hand will have to strategize well in order to whittle down the knights while spreading their forces out, leaving the elders defenceless. We love just how different each faction is, as well as each character. It feels like you have to play differently depending on your character and their abilities really do make a difference. As your cards are shared within your faction, this variability increases the need to work off each others’ strengths. We usually aren’t the most fond of skirmish/arena games since it just feels like you’re hoping to draw better cards than your opponents. But Knight Fall really makes it necessary to work together as a team and to maneuver each other in such a way that you manage to kill each other off! There’s even a campaign mode though its a small one so don’t expect anything on the scale of Sleeping Gods. If you’re into team games or skirmish games, do check out Knight Fall! I enjoyed this. It looks great - the artwork is definitely up to par for this company. The rules are pretty simple, and a 2 player head-to-head is probably the most interesting way to play. For solo, the rules as printed have significant errors, so be sure to check out the replacement rules. I played once with the rules as written and it was not a fun experience - I am glad I checked for updates. The "campaign" is a bit mis-named - it's a couple mini-games followed by a full game without scores. While there is some story and you can build yourself up to the endgame, calling it a campaign feels a bit of an oversell. It's still fun, though I think you would probably memorize the various spots after just a play or two.
