This mechanic requires you to place a bid, usually monetary, on items in an auction of goods in order to enhance your position in the game. These goods allow players future actions or improve a position. The auction consists of taking turns placing bids on a given item until one winner is established, allowing the winner to take control of the item being bid on. Usually there is a game rule that helps drop the price of the items being bid on if no players are interested in the item at its current price.
Auction/Bidding
Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.

Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling

A nicely themed co-op, slowed down by a lot of unnecessarily baroque tangents and easily forgotten special cases, and the whole competitive bidding phase sits oddly in a co-op game where you can trade cards. Ruleset and card design aren't great - even coming prepared with a handful of fan-made reference sheets, we were shrugging and house-ruling a few unclear mechanics.

There's something in there that could be a good game but it's entirely undermined by the semi-cooperative nature of the game.

Really wanted to like this game. We tried once or twice to play this. The rules were pretty bad and there were a few misprints. It was enough for me to get rid of it after one attempted play.
