Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
The simultaneous action selection mechanic lets players secretly choose their actions. After they are revealed, the actions resolve following the rule-set of the game.

It feels a game that has a set program. You have to follow a specific order and i never knew this. First you have to have money to advance up the tracks. So you have to do the Income track as your first advancement, trust me do it. And getting troops early is big. But really forget almost everything else going on, don’t play cards, you cant progress. Most of your options are available. But just go for money or whatever gets you money early. If you advance the income track a little. Next go for the extra die on the culture track. Don’t do anything else. It seems like everyone else knew this going in but I was trying to go after military because I had Sparta. So when I advanced my military I ended up way behind. AND for me there was no coming back. I had to sit and watch everyone jump up tracks. That said, now that i know my mistake. I still thing there is literally nothing here is that is exciting, I found my one full game to be pretty boring. I probably only want to play it again to at least do well once.

Rating off of one play so far . I felt it was balanced I lost just by 1 point easy to teach and play with a track on everybody's board to help go from step to step. Everyone wanted to play again right after.

I like this with a few exceptions: 1. It’s really a game where you spend 2/3s of it preparing to get points and 1/3 of the time getting points. That makes it a little less exciting. 2. It really feels like a lot of hurry up and wait going on. I like a tight action economy but sometimes it takes three turns of work to play a card. That’s a lot of work in a 5 turn game. 3. Military buildup is really rewarded, economic and culture build up is much less rewarded. To the point of why do them. However with these flaws it’s a 7, but a 7 worth keeping.
