Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

KS version. This expansion is terrible. Language issues make sacrificing and removing units confusing. Takes too long to build up and it costs victory points! The only way you can be viable is if you get both "divinities". The models are really cool, like all the models in the game and the concept is cool. Sacrificing strength in order to get a really big effect. The implementation is just bad though.

Expansion is okay. But the price is absolutely ridiculous, as is the large box. For almost half the price of the base game you get one set of tiles, one tracking board, 3 monster miniatures (one has a second part to it which even the rulebook says has no gameplay value) and a thin rule leaflet. So i can only recommend this to hardcore fans who play Kemet a lot and need more.

Cool expansion that adds some really funky but fun mechanics. The green tiles are pretty weird and it remains to be seen how balanced they are with the other colors. The greatest advantage this expansion brings is that with another tile color added to the mix, the variety becomes even more awesome. Let's say you're playing with 3 tile colors; with the basic 4 colors in the box, you have 4 possible color combinations; with the expansion, there are now 10 possible combinations!
