Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Co-operative play encourages or requires players to work together to beat the game.
Cooperative Play
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.

Really enjoy this game. Quite cool illustrations and different game play: you play together with one winner. Simple enough rules. 5/20: A quick (30 min with two) game of adventure in a marvellously illustrated magic land. Manage your energy, racing to fight the big baddie before he gains control over the world. Semi-coop, I managed to tank our game by being a bit selfish, although Aud had the chance to win it but rolled a draw with the big baddie, dooming us to a lifetime of servitude to the dark lord. Simple enough game, perhaps a bit too easy to plan battles at the basic game level, but in this way it keeps the game moving. Did I mention I love the art on the tiles and chits?

Where to start?... Let's talk about the artwork. I have actually read and heard that some people think this is a good-looking game. In fact, many were drawn to it by the art. Now I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but damn this is one whacked-out, fugly-looking game! The carrot-/penis-head characters on the manual are extremely disturbing and the scary-looking terrain tiles made me want to put this game back in the box before we even started to go over the rules... if only I had gone with my instincts! The gameplay might actually be worse than the art! In fact, calling it gameplay is being VERY generous! There are few, if any, decisions to be made and the ones you are given are so obvious and dumb, I would have thought this was a child's game if I hadn't seen the nightmare-inducing artwork. The "advanced" game is simply a few changes that make the game (and the torture) last much longer! We played several rounds with 4 players and we all agreed that this could barely be classified as a game. Taste in games is VERY subjective and I totally get that. There are many games that I absolutely abhor, but I understand why others might like them. This one? I am stupefied that there are some 9 ratings here on BGG. I'm guessing (actually even hoping) that these are friends of the designer and they're shilling for him. If not, I hope I never have to share a game table with them!

Very nice artwork on the game components. It's really cute! Unfortunately, the game just isn’t fun enough to want to own it. There are too few (meaningful) choices to make, in my opinion. (Note: I've only played the basic game; perhaps the advanced game will change my opinion.)
