Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

This is certainly unique, in both its theme and it's general feel of play. Unfortunately this gets two large dings: 1. it is a veeery slow game simply because it's impossible to pre-plan between turns. This at first is fine but after the three rounds it does feel like a real slog. The puzzle solving is fantastic, but the down time is frustrating. 2. It's one of the trickiest games I've ever had to teach. The end goal scoring, what happens if someone's in too deep or not, what happens if the plot is foiled or not AND the distribution of points all thereafter is so hard to explain. The resulting impression for a newcomer is that even if it is maticulously explained, demonstrated and double checked so that everyone is clear, they then have to go back to the actual player turn of piecing together a puzzle every time. Very daunting for all due to it's convolution. It could have been a great game because it really does feel different and you do manage to do things that makes you feel smert. The artwork is superb and once grocked the end game is tense and ramps up. But it falls flat in the end due to just two or three too many twists and turns in overall game play.

After first play: 3p ++: theme, artwork, tactical game play, corruption/ getting in too Deep or not, where to file evidence? --: play time (first play 3hrs with 3p) , --: tactical game (thinking starts when it is your turn --> downtime), -- :randomness & luck (lucky on card drawing and solving the puzzle); -- : With 4 or 5p: probably not/ no go! Fun: yes! Recommended? Yes (but only for tactical game players. Otherwise, don't buy this game). With 2p and more experienced: We had a lot of fun. Every turn is a mini-puzzle to solve. Yes there is luck involved, but taking an extra Card can be helpfull to reduce luck. The tension in the end is there! Did we solve the plot? Did I go In too Deep or not.... .Liked it a lot!
