Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

This is everything I could have wanted in a card game: all the best parts of an LCG (different playstyles and endless replayability) and none of the bad parts (deck construction and cost).

My take on this might change with more play. As-is, the rulebook is a bit of a mess, especially when using the solo bot. There are some basic sequences explained in the rules, but no good reference that I've seen and no real explanation of what affects what or "why" you'd want to take a particular thing. Play got better and MUCH quicker as I went along, and it really looks like a good game underneath, but so far it's been difficult to unearth it.

One of the worst rulebooks ever which makes s fairly complex, asymmetric game really difficult to learn. 3 full games before we figured out everything we were doing wrong
