Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
The simultaneous action selection mechanic lets players secretly choose their actions. After they are revealed, the actions resolve following the rule-set of the game.

3 plays / 3,4 players LIKE: Quick game. I like the table talk as long as no one is taking it seriously. The card play mechanism is clever and the card draft is smart since players can see what others partially have. DISLIKE: Chaotic. Mostly luck-based decisions since ship positions vary wildly. Repeated plays might get boring, but occasional games are fun. OVERALL: Best with 4 players, a fun filler or family game for occasional play. Sometimes the cards go your way, sometimes not.

The game is essentially one big giant catch-up-mechanic where your last cards disproportionately matter more than anything else you do throughout the game. Furthermore, the game provides little useful information to make decisions from. Your biggest asset in winning this game will come from remembering what cards were drafted in the beginning; But because half the cards are hidden information, and the game may end anytime, the vast majority of your decisions will be made on nothing more then your gut feeling.

Interesting mechanic that provides a well designed, if simple, theme. Makes a nice filler game. This game could easily be used to provide a demonstration of how gravititational forces are governed by the distance separating similar masses.
