I backed this on Kickstarter and was excited for this one because I love flowers. Unfortunately, I just don't see any appeal to the gameplay. I've played about 6 times with multiple player counts (2, 4, and 6) and each time I found myself completely bored doing the same actions over and over and watching my opponent(s) doing the same actions over and over. Not for me.

Positives: Quick play and decisions. I like that you have 3 options for where to play each card but can only use each option once in a round while drawing two cards. I like that you are incentivized by scoring points for giving cards to other players around the table. Negatives: It's fairly random and lucky with the draws and with the drawing of the hidden cards at the end to add to the competitions. I think it would likely get samey real fast. Overall: Gift of Tulips is a solid set collection and majority control game that fits in a small box and doesn't take long to teach or play. If you like the theme or pretty colors on the cards then it's worth a pick-up.

Easy teach, pretty components, and the idea of sharing pulls people in. Tactical choices are interesting enough to keep gamers involved while not overwhelming casual participants. Nice to have wide player count, since this is game works well in a relaxed "hey come join us" setting.
